Prepped at Gothenburg High School … coached by Bryson Mahlberg … lettered and started all four years … served as a two-year team captain … twice named first team all-state, first team all-conference and to the state all-tournament team … helped the Swedes to three state tournament appearances, including a runner up claim and third-place finish … played basketball all four years and was a four-year starter and honorable mention all-state and all-conference award winner … competed in track & field for three years and was part of a 4x1 relay that placed fifth at state and broke the school record … two-time state qualifier in track … class valedictorian … twice earned academic all-state honors … member of National Honor Society and Sigma Phi Beta … achieved all A’s honor roll status all four years.
