Sixth-ranked Concordia successfully shook off Wednesday's tough defeat at College of Saint Mary by knocking off two top 25 opponents on Friday (Sept. 3). The Bulldogs moved to 4-2 overall.
One point away from victory, the sixth-ranked Bulldogs were unable to close the deal. Instead, Concordia lost in five sets at No. 23 College of Saint Mary on Wednesday (Sept. 1).
Coming off a match with a ranked Bellevue foe, the Concordia is getting set to play four more top 25 opponents this week. During the first week of the season, the Bulldogs earned wins over Mount Marty and Baker.
After cruising past Baker in straight sets as part of the Bulldog Bash, sixth-ranked Concordia got the early season test it bargained for in a five-set defeat at the hands of No. 12 Bellevue.
A large home crowd greeted the sixth-ranked Concordia Volleyball team as it handled Mount Marty in straight sets in Wednesday (Aug. 25)'s season opener. Camryn Opfer led all players with 11 kills.
Friedrich Arena will be the place to be to catch the first action of the 2021 Concordia Volleyball season. The Bulldogs will host Mount Marty, Baker and Bellevue in the season's first week.

After leading the Bulldogs to the NAIA national quarterfinals, Ben Boldt was recognized as a finalist for the Midlands Women's Coach of the Year award, as selected by the Omaha World-Herald.
