With the regular season winding down, the Bulldog volleyball team is set to host its home finale on Wednesday. After celebrating its seniors, Concordia will head to 12th-ranked Midland on Saturday.
The Bulldog volleyball team traveled to College of Saint Mary in search of a win that would enhance their chances of a GPAC tournament berth. Instead, the Flames won in straight sets on Wednesday (Oct. 17).
In this week's only match, the Bulldog volleyball team will jockey for positioning in the GPAC standings. Concordia and College of Saint Mary will go head-to-head in Omaha on Wednesday (Oct. 16).
The first set was an eye opener, but the Bulldog volleyball team answered the call with two down-to-the-wire performances in the second and third sets on Saturday (Oct. 13). No. 8 Dordt just proved to be too much.
Despite having set-point opportunities in the second and third sets, Concordia surrendered to No. 14 Hastings on Wednesday night (Oct. 14). The Bulldogs (13-8, 3-8 GPAC) had hoped to secure back-to-back GPAC wins.
As the final month of regular-season action rolls on, the Bulldogs are preparing to take on nationally-ranked conference rivals Hastings and Dordt. Concordia is coming off a four-set win over Briar Cliff.
The attacking of Kara Stark and solid defensive work at the net helped the Bulldog volleyball team return to the win column on Friday night (Oct. 5). Concordia defeated Briar Cliff in four sets inside Walz Arena.
It will be Camper Reunion Night at Walz Arena on Friday (Oct. 5) when Briar Cliff pays a visit. Concordia looks to get back in the win column in a match set to get going at 7:30 p.m. (junior varsity at 6 p.m.).
Kelsey Baarck came off the bench and floored a season high 11 kills. It just wasn't enough for Concordia to claim victory. Host Dakota Wesleyan got a starring performance from Rebecca Frick and won in four sets.
The Concordia volleyball program is in the middle of a trip to the Dakotas as GPAC play continues. On the first let, the Bulldogs fell in straight sets at Jamestown on Friday (Sept. 28). They will be at Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday.
