SEWARD, Neb. – The league office announced Abby Krieser as the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday (Nov. 27). She was selected for her play in the win versus College of Saint Mary and an overtime loss to Dordt. Krieser is the first Bulldog selected for the award this season as she takes her second career weekly honor.

The Lincoln North Star ball hawk swiped three steals in both contests and was matched up with Dordt's Macy Sievers (5-for-15 from the floor) for a large portion of the road loss. Concordia's opponents turned the ball over a combined 43 times last week. The Lincoln, Neb., native also collected a block and two defensive rebounds.

A senior guard, Krieser has totaled 18 defensive rebounds and steals in her first seven games, averaging over two takeaways per contest.

Concordia will travel to Sioux City to face off against Morningside for the second time this season next Wednesday (Dec. 4).
