SEWARD, Neb. – Fresh off reaching a major career milestone, senior Philly Lammers has been voted the Hauff Mid-America Sports GPAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, as announced on Tuesday (Feb. 25). Lammers is the third Concordia women’s basketball player this season to be recognized with this award, joining Grace Barry (Dec. 17) and Riley Sibbel (Jan. 7). Last week Lammers was also honored with CoSIDA Academic All-District Team accolades.

An Omaha native and Millard West High School product, Lammers helped the Bulldogs wrap up an outright GPAC regular-season title last week with road wins over Midland and Jamestown. Lammers notched 18 points in both outings and also contributed a combined 13 rebounds, nine steals and two blocked shots. She made 15-of-28 (.536) shots from the field.

A three-time NAIA All-American, Lammers will go down as an all-time great for the program. Entering the week, she owns school all-time rankings of second in scoring (1,971), second in blocked shots (178), third in rebounds (1,006) and fifth in steals (348). Lammers has been a major reason for the program’s overall record of 133-10 over the past four seasons.

Concordia (28-2, 21-1 GPAC) will host Midland in the GPAC tournament quarterfinals at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are on the hunt for a fourth GPAC postseason championship in a row.
