Prepped at Wood River Rural High School … coached by Phil Smith … lettered four times and started for three years … served as a team captain for two years … in basketball, honored with three all-conference awards (one first team, one second team, one HM) and was named honorable mention all-state by the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star … helped the Eagles to two conference championships and to a district title … also played volleyball all four years, earning three all-conference awards while garnering honorable mention all-state and academic all-state honors … competed for four years in track & field and was a first team all-conference award winner … ranked in top 10 of class academically all four years … named academic all-state all four years … Presidential Award winner … achieved All A’s honor roll status.
