With the return of CIT, the Bulldog Women's Basketball program got back to dominating the event. Behind CIT MVP Taysha Rushton, the Bulldogs suffocated Concordia Chicago in an 85-33 championship game victory on Saturday (Jan. 28).
The Bulldogs hit the century mark while mopping the floor with Concordia Wisconsin on day one of the 2023 Concordia Invitational Tournament. Thirteen Bulldogs scored at least five points in the 100-49 victory.
A 16-0 third quarter run made the difference on Wednesday (Jan. 25) as the Bulldogs earned a season sweep of Hastings. Abby Krieser led another balanced effort with 14 points as Concordia won, 73-62.
The week of CIT will feature wall-to-wall basketball inside Friedrich Arena. On the women's side, the Bulldogs will aim for CIT title No. 31 in program history after they take on Hastings on Wednesday. Concordia is 8-1 over its last nine GPAC games.

The league win streak of six was snapped by Jamestown on Saturday (Jan. 14). The Jimmies used a decided rebound advantage to hold off the Bulldogs, 79-72, in North Dakota. Guards Taysha Rushton and Abby Krieser combined for 29 points.
The themes of the night were depth and defensive grit for the Bulldogs, who cruised to a 74-54 home win over College of Saint Mary on Wednesday (Jan. 11). Hailey Kleinschmit paced Concordia with 12 points and nine rebounds.
The Bulldogs will put their five-game GPAC win streak to the test this week as they host College of Saint Mary on Wednesday and then travel to play at Jamestown on Saturday. Concordia won last week over Mount Marty and DWU.
