The No. 9 Bulldogs drop their first road contest of the season in a top-10 matchup after the No. 1 Defenders used a 13-3 run that finished in the fourth quarter. Dordt took the win in front of the home crowd, 79-57.
Concordia forced 40 turnovers and scored 65 points off those turnovers while routing Midland, 98-37, on Wednesday (Dec. 10). Raelyn Kelty topped the Bulldogs with 15 points.
Coming off the season’s first loss, Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Basketball will look to return to the right tracks against upcoming opponents in Midland and No. 1 Dordt.
Despite its shooting struggles, Concordia had three cracks at a potential game-tying 3-point field goal in the waning moments on Saturday (Dec. 6). Ultimately, No. 14 DWU eked out a 59-56 win over the ninth-ranked Bulldogs.
Behind 11 first half treys, the stifling Bulldogs trampled rival Doane before the break with 28 points off turnovers to double the visitors, 56-23, in the opening quarters on Wednesday.
Rolling into December post-Thanksgiving, the Bulldogs will put their unbeaten record on the line versus Doane and Dakota Wesleyan. The bench in blue and white trumped Mount Marty in last week’s lone battle at Cimpl Arena, 66-59.
With a one-point advantage at the half, Kristin Vieselmeyer put the offense on her back as she drained 16 of the Bulldogs' 28 points in the third aiding heavily in the 66-59 victory over Mount Marty on Tuesday.
Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Basketball will take its unblemished record (7-0, 3-0 GPAC) to Yankton and line up against Mount Marty in its lone contest this Tuesday.
