Three days after pulling off the biggest shocker of the GPAC basketball season, Mount Marty threatened to knock off another top 10 team. However, the ninth-ranked Concordia women’s basketball team rallied back from a 12-point first half deficit for a 60-53 win in Yankton, S.D., on Saturday afternoon. The season sweep of Mount Marty pushes the Bulldogs to 20-5 overall and 12-3 in GPAC contests. The game also marked the 100th career GPAC win for eighth-year head coach Drew Olson.
While a CIT hangover may have been cause for Concordia’s slow start on Wednesday, the ninth-ranked Bulldog women’s basketball team rebounded in impressive fashion. Eighth-year head coach Drew Olson’s squad dominated the second half and earned the season sweep of rival Doane with an 83-62 victory inside Walz Arena.
A stellar second half performance allowed the third-ranked Bulldog to pull away from No. 17 Northwestern for a 91-76 victory on Wednesday (Jan. 29). Grace Barry and MacKenzie Helman both notched 17 points.
After winning the 30th CIT title in program history, the Bulldogs are set to get back to GPAC action while up against two ranked opponents: No. 17 Northwestern (home) and No. 12 Dakota Wesleyan (away).

John Buuck Field House. Ultimately, the Bulldogs prevailed, 73-60, fueled by a big night for freshman Becky Mueller on Friday’s day one of two at the annual Concordia Invitational Tournament.
A game-defining 38-8 run powered the third-ranked Bulldogs to a 74-49 win over Concordia University, Ann Arbor at the 69th annual CIT on Friday (Jan. 24). Grace Barry and Philly Lammers combined for 37 points.
Concordia enjoyed a plus-13 turnover margin and shot 14-of-26 from 3-point range in running away from No. 7 Morningside, 85-61, on Wednesday (Jan. 22). Next up for the Bulldogs is CIT in River Forest, Ill.
In a showdown of top 10 teams in Hastings, the ninth-ranked Broncos stayed hot in topping the eighth-ranked Concordia women’s basketball team, 78-65, on Wednesday night. Hastings (19-2, 10-2 GPAC) won for the 15th-straight time while following star guard Jamie Van Kirk’s 16 second half points to victory. The Bulldogs dropped to 16-5 overall and 10-3 in the GPAC.
"When you’re a shooter and you’re on, you’ve just got to let it go," says Kristen Vogt. She followed that mantra to a school record 323 career 3-point field goals and a spot in the Concordia Athletics Hall of Fame.

Five years after graduation, the highly accomplished Philly Lammers will take her place in the Concordia Athletics Hall of Fame. The four-time All-American Lammers led the Bulldogs to a national championship in 2019.
The Concordia experience has meant so much to the Vieselmeyers that it makes them emotional when asked to put it into words. As the third sister to become a Bulldog student-athlete, Kristin followed in the footsteps of Erin and Megan.
It was a season of many "heartaches" in 2024-25, but Coach Drew Olson and company will remember the moments behind the scenes shared with special people such as veterans Kendal Brigham, Abby Heemstra and Abby Krieser.

Elizabeth (Rhoden) Dillingham motored into town with 'RoRo' on her Texas license plates. The nickname became part of the identity for a confident star guard who brought swagger to Concordia Women's Basketball.
