Bulldogs shoot 353 while opening spring season at Moundbuilder Invite

WINFIELD, Kan. – In its first official action since back in October, the Concordia University Women’s Golf team got the spring started at the Southwestern College Moundbuilder Invitational on Monday (March 28). In the first of two rounds, the Bulldogs shot a team score of 353 while navigating Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield, Kan. Concordia is in fourth place heading into day two. The top three teams are Dakota Wesleyan (336), Friends University (337) and the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (352).

The 353 team score is right in line with the team average of 352.2 over 11 fall rounds. Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad capped the fall with a seventh place standing within the GPAC.

Day one scores for each of the seven Bulldogs at the Mounbuilder Invite are listed below. With her 12-over-par 84, Kendra Placke is currently tied for eighth place. She’s seven strokes behind the tournament low score of 77. The field is made up of six teams and 27 total players.
