
LINCOLN, Neb. – A group of eight Bulldogs represented Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Golf in round one of the Kaitlyn Erickson Invite on another windy spring Nebraska day. The Bulldogs carded a team score of 379 on Monday (April 14) and reside in 11th place out of 14 groupings in the tournament field. The event includes 85 individual golfers and is being hosted by Doane. The first round took place at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb.
The Erickson Invite marks the first outing for Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad since hosting the Concordia Bulldog Spring Invite on April 1-2.
The usual suspects led the way for Concordia at Wilderness Ridge, known as a challenging course. Junior Emery Custer shot an 89 (+18) on Monday as the top Bulldog competitor. She stands in a tie for 28th place. Meanwhile, senior Jennifer Gillotti and junior Maddie Lewis both carded 94s and senior Sarah Wilson shot 102 in rounding out the performances that counted towards the team score. Emma McCoy also joined the lineup of five and three Bulldogs competed as individuals (scores listed below).

Nine GPAC programs are part of the Erickson Invite field, which also includes NAIA competition in Bellevue University, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Ottawa University (Kan.) and Peru State College. Bellevue will take a one-stroke lead over Doane into round two.
