SEWARD, Neb. – A strong season on the course and in the classroom has yielded a major award for sophomore Emery Custer of the Concordia University Women’s Golf program. On Tuesday (June 25), the Broken Bow, Neb., native was tabbed 2023-24 Academic All-District® At-Large selection by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Custer has earned this distinction for the first time.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to be nominated for this award. The Broken Bow High School alum played in 10 events (19 rounds) in 2023-24 and placed inside the top 10 of four tournaments (two top-five claims). Among the season highlights, Custer placed fourth at the College of Saint Mary Invite, fifth at the Graceland Invitational, seventh at the Buena Vista Fall Invite and 10th at the Kaitlyn Erickson Invite.
