NORFOLK, Neb. – In a battle this weekend (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) for state bragging rights, the Concordia University Women’s Golf team has some ground to make up. The Bulldogs shot a 368 in Friday (Sept. 30)’s round one of the Nebraska Intercollegiate. The two-day event features competitors from six Nebraska institutions.
Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad currently sits behind Wayne State College (323), the University of Nebraska-Kearney (353) and Hastings (362) in the team race.
Individually, Concordia was led on day one by freshman Emery Custer, who shot a 14-over-par 86 and resides in a tie for 10th place out of 32 golfers. The tournament leader carded a 77 on Friday. The team’s No. 1 golfer this fall, Lauren Havlat, shot a 91 on Friday and is tied for 17th. Below is a summary of Concordia’s scores from day one of the tournament.
