STORM LAKE, Iowa – On the first of two days at the Buena Vista University Fall Invite, sophomore Emery Custer headlined the efforts of Concordia University Women’s Golf. Custer shot an 85 on Saturday (Sept. 16) at Lake Creek Golf Course. As a team, the Bulldogs shot a 360, putting them in eighth place in a field heavy on NCAA Division III squads. Concordia stands just behind conference rival College of Saint Mary (355).
This marks the second tournament of the week for Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad, which placed eighth at the Lila Frommelt Fall Classic.
The Broken Bow, Neb., native Custer shot 42 on the front nine and 43 on the back nine in Storm Lake. She hit her season average (85.0) exactly. The team’s group of five at the tournament also includes Logan Eschliman (89), Maddie Lewis (92), Mya Nurse (94) and Jennifer Gillotti (96).
