Gillotti tops Bulldogs as part of action-packed Monday

BRULE / OMAHA, Neb. – On a hectic Monday (Sept. 9) of action for Concordia University Women’s Golf, the program was represented from state line to state line in two separate tournaments. The top five for the Bulldogs traveled out west into the mountain time zone for the Battle at Bayside in Brule, Neb., while four Concordia competitors played in Omaha at the Matthew Goette Fall Classic hosted by College of Saint Mary. In Brule, the Bulldogs shot a team score of 382 while competing against a field of NCAA Division II opponents.

The Battle at Bayside represents the second official varsity tournament of the fall for Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad. Concordia opened the 2024-25 season at the Mount Marty Invite (Aug. 29-30).

In Brule, senior Jennifer Gillotti carded a 17-over-par 88 in round one. That score puts her in 29th place out of 49 golfers in the field. Other Bulldogs in action at the Battle at Bayside were juniors Emery Custer (92) and junior Maddie Lewis (101) and freshmen Savannah McFalls (102) and Audra Poffinbarger (104). Concordia stands in eighth place while trailing seven NCAA Division II schools.

On the other side of the state, four Bulldogs represented the program at Tiburon Golf Club: Sarah Wilson (102), Makenzie Hughes (112), Emma McCoy (112) and Abigail Kollbaum (113). The team score of 439 put Concordia in eighth place out of 10 groupings at the Matthew Goette Fall Classic, which was a single day, single round tournament.
