McFalls cards team low in Nebraska Intercollegiate round one

CAIRO, Neb. – In returning to the site of the 2025 GPAC Women’s Golf Championships, Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Golf carded a team score of 340 (+52) in round one of the annual Nebraska Intercollegiate. The two-day Nebraska Intercollegiate (Oct. 5-6) is sponsored by the Nebraska Golf Association and 10 Nebraska institutions and 50 total golfers. Bulldog junior Savannah McFalls led her team on Monday by shooting an 80 at Centura Hills Golf Club in Cairo, Neb.

The Nebraska Intercollegiate marks the final varsity event of the fall for Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad. After round one, Concordia resides in fourth place behind the University of Nebraska-Kearney (308), Wayne State College (311) and Doane (333).

The Bulldogs entered the Nebraska Intercollegiate having won back-to-back tournament titles: the Lila Frommelt Fall Classic and York Fall Invite. A return to the links on Monday saw three Concordia competitors shoot in the 80s: McFalls (80), sophomore Olivia James (84) and graduate student Maddie Lewis (85). They currently hold down placements of eighth, tied for 13th and tied for 16th, respectively. Next in line are sophomore Amelia Ptacnik (91; 26th) and freshman Mia Ochsner (100; T-37th). Lewis was an eighth place finisher at the 2025 Nebraska Intercollegiate.

Heading into Tuesday’s round, the Bulldogs stand in front of the following (fifth through 10th place) teams: Hastings (357), College of Saint Mary (358), Nebraska Wesleyan University (380), York University (392), Southeast Community College (421) and Midland (462). The Nebraska Intercollegiate frontrunner on the individual leaderboard is UNK’s Calie Dockter with a 74.
