SEWARD, Neb. – Two tournament titles in a row have yielded two GPAC Golfer of the Week awards in a row for Concordia University Women’s Golf standout Kendra Placke. The Seward High School alum earned the award for the sixth time in her career when the recognition was made official on Wednesday (April 20) by the GPAC. Placke and Morningside’s Laia Badosa are the only two players in the GPAC to have twice been named conference golfer of the week during the 2021-22 season.
In last week’s action, Placke beat out a field of 39 golfers at the Hastings Invite (April 11-12) by shooting a two-round 77-82–159 (+15) while navigating Lochland Country Club in Hastings, Neb. A week earlier, Placke won the Concordia Bulldog Invite with a three-over-par 75. She has won three tournaments in 2021-22 and boasts six event titles in her career (full list below). On the season, Placke owns a team best scoring average of 79.6 and has placed inside the top 10 of all nine events. Her career average in 54 rounds stands at 80.7.

Currently situated fifth in the GPAC (80-74–154 in the fall), Placke will be in action, along with her Bulldog teammates, for rounds three and four of the conference championships next Monday and Tuesday (April 25-26) at Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk, Neb.
