Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad will enter the week having competed in six events (11 rounds) during the 2022-23 season. Concordia has averaged a team score of 354.5 with a season low of 334 coming in the first round of the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational back in the fall. The top individuals (based on scoring average) in the Bulldog lineup have been Lauren Havlat (85.5), Emery Custer (87.3), Mya Nurse (87.6) and Logan Eschliman (91.7). Havlat shot the team’s lowest round of the season to this point, a 77 at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invite. At the Southwest Minnesota State Spring Invitational, Custer turned in a collegiate low round of 82.
With the exception of the spring of 2020, Concordia has hosted its own invite each year since 2018. Last year’s Concordia Invite was shortened to one round and saw the Bulldogs place fourth out of 13 teams with a score of 342. Former Concordia great Kendra Placke claimed the 2022 individual title while shooting a three-over-par 75. Three current Bulldogs were also part of the team’s top five: Nurse (87), Havlat (90) and Eschliman (92).
Next up for Concordia after its own invite will be the College of Saint Mary Spring Invite on March 12-13. The tournament will be staged at Tiburon Golf Club in Omaha, Neb.
