LINCOLN, Neb. – The Concordia women’s golf team competed at the Doane College-Kaitlyn Erickson Invite Thursday afternoon at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Course. The Bulldogs shot a 367 as a team for fifth place. Two Bulldogs placed in the top-10.
Head coach Brett Muller said, “Overall we obviously didn’t play as well as we would have liked. We know what we need to work on looking at GPAC on Monday. Kayla (Krueger) continued her good play which was great to see. She has really come on as of late and will look to play well Monday to reach the top-10 to get All-Conference.”
Kayla Krueger led the Bulldogs with an 83, tying for fifth. Also shooting in the 80’s was Amy Ahlers who carded an 84 to tie for seventh. Ashlen Pospisil shot a 96 while Brenna Gnuse turned in a score of 104. Also competing for the squad was Madison Pitsch (146) and Lauren Sperry (114).
The Concordia women’s golf team will return to the course for one final meet on Monday, May 2. The GPAC Qualifier No. 4 will take place in Mitchell, S.D. at the Wild Oak Golf Course.
