Another tournament, another medal award finish for freshman Kendra Placke. The Seward native placed as the runner up at Wednesday (Sept. 26)'s Matthew Goette Fall Invitational in Omaha.
Concordia got more solid performances from the duo of Amy Ahlers and Murphy Sears at the Lila Frommelt Fall Classic. Ahlers placed seventh individually.
Kendra Placke and four other Bulldogs improved their scores on the second day of the Lila Frommelt Classic, paving the way for a season low team score. Placke placed eighth on the individual leaderboard.
The Concordia women's golf team shot a solid 344 on the opening day of the Lila Frommelt Classic. Three Bulldogs carded scores of 86 or lower while competing in North Sioux City, S.D., on Friday (Sept. 14).

Kendra Placke went low in her collegiate debut. The former state champion from Seward High School paced the Bulldogs with a 76 on Thursday (Aug. 30). As a team, Concordia sits in third place at the MMC Invite.
Murphy Sears returns as the leader of a women's golf program expecting to trend upward in 2018-19. She will be joined by Seward's Kendra Placke in an improved lineup for head coach Brett Muller.
Junior Madison Pitsch has been named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. The junior is a native of Concordia, Missouri.
Sophomore Murphy Sears is an all-conference honoree for the second year in a row courtesy of her eighth-place GPAC championships finish. The Crete native led the Bulldogs with an 83.36 scoring average in 2017-18.

Junior Amy Ahlers broke the school record for a single round Friday, Sept. 18 at the Briar Cliff Lila Fromant Invite. Ahlers carded a 71 which is one under par for the course.
