Murphy Sears turned in her best performance so far this season while leading the Bulldogs at Monday's (Sept. 11) Midland Fall Invite. Concordia tied for fourth out of six teams at the tournament.

The Concordia women's golf team will have plenty of room for improvement after placing 13th at the Mount Marty Fall Invite, contested in Yankton, S.D. Sophomore Murphy Sears was the highest finisher for the Bulldogs.

The GPAC champion and GPAC golfer of the year is still claiming more recognition even after the close of her collegiate golf career. She has now been named a CoSIDA Academic All-American for the second time.

A pair of Bulldogs from the women's golf program have been named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Senior Amy Ahlers is now a two-time Scholar-Athlete award winner.

The storybook collegiate career of Amy Ahlers has come to an end. The native of Albion, Neb., carded an 82 in her second round at the national championships. She has cemented her spot as an all-time Bulldog great.

Making her first public course appearance since securing the GPAC title on May 2, senior Amy Ahlers got her first taste of the national championships while in action on Tuesday (May 23). She shot a 16-over-par 88.

After winning the conference title, Amy Ahlers rightfully took the honor of GPAC golfer of the year, as announced on Friday (May 12). She was joined on the all-conference list by teammate Murphy Sears.

Amy Ahlers came back from eight strokes down on the final day of the conference championships and earned a GPAC title and national tournament berth. The next stop for the native of Albion, Neb., is sunny Florida.
