A second semester addition to the roster, Kaiden Mima won the 61kg national title at the 2025 University National Championships. Four Bulldogs placed top team and the team finished in the top five nationally.
A program record 13 Bulldogs will represent Concordia Weightlifting at the 2025 Weightlifting National University Championships in Columbus, Ohio. The field includes returning national champion Evan Fukuhara.
In action at the prestigious North American Open Finals, Michael Davidge, Gracy Johnson and Marcus Sweet each posted personal best totals. The competition took place in Tucson, Ariz., Dec. 5-8.
Concordia Weightlifting beat out a field of eight teams at the Nebraska State Championships in Omaha, where Taylor Hedke was named Best Female Lifter. Eight Bulldogs won titles within their weight classes.

In a span of just over 13 months, Evan Fukuhara went from choosing Concordia, sight unseen, to posing atop the collegiate national championship podium in Columbus, Ohio. It's been a whirlwind for the Sacramento native.

Sophomore Evan Fukuhara rose to the top of the podium in his weight class at the North American Open Finals. He finished the event with a total of 256kg while outperforming the field of 27 lifters in the 67kg class in Wilmington, N.C.
