Concordia hosts Dakota Wesleyan in opening round of GPAC Tournament
Concordia University will host Dakota Wesleyan University on November 3 in the quarterfinal round of the 2011 GPAC Women’s Soccer Tournament. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium. The Bulldogs earned the fourth seed in the postseason tournament after posting a 6-4 conference record during the regular season.
Dakota Wesleyan also finished the regular season with a 6-4 conference mark. However, Concordia picked up a 4-3 overtime win over the Tigers earlier this season to hold the tiebreaker.
The Concordia Sports Network will cover the matchup with the Tigers with a live audio and video webcast. Nathanael Steadman and Benny Hanaphy will call all the action from Bulldog Stadium.
The winner of the Concordia/Dakota Wesleyan game will advance to the semifinals to take on the winner between No. 8 Briar Cliff University and No. 1 Hastings College. The semifinal round is scheduled for November 8 with the GPAC Tournament Championship Game scheduled for November 12. The highest remaining seeds will host games throughout the tournament.
