The Concordia University soccer teams travel to Kansas on Wednesday to take on the Bulldogs of McPherson College. The women’s game is scheduled for 5:30 pm with the men’s game to follow at 8 pm. Live stats will be available at the link below.

The Concordia women opened the 2010 season with an easy 5-1 victory over York College this past weekend. The Bulldogs totaled 31 shots in the game compared to just two for York. Jamie Sanchez had two goals and two assists, while Jordan Donohoue added one goal and two assists for Concordia in the win.
Wednesday’s contest will be the season-opener for McPherson College. McPherson went 10-5-3 overall last year with a 6-1-2 mark in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. Concordia and McPherson met last year with the contest ending in a 1-1 tie.
Concordia’s men are 0-1-1 on the young season. The Bulldogs tied William Penn 0-0 last Friday and dropped a tough 1-0 decision at Iowa Wesleyan University on Saturday. Concordia is still looking for its first goal of the season and hopes to get the offense rolling against the Bulldogs of McPherson College.
McPherson College opens its 2010 campaign against Concordia after an impressive 2009 season. The Bulldogs were 15-0-1 overall and 9-0 in the KCAC a year ago.
The Concordia women then travel to Wayne State College on September 4 for a 3 pm contest against the Wildcats. Concordia’s men host Kansas Wesleyan on September 5 at 5 pm.
