Sanchez picks up Second Team All-GPAC honors
Three Concordia University women’s soccer players received conference honors for their efforts in the 2010 season. Jamie Sanchez was a second team All-GPAC selection, while Kelly Ross and Hannah Denk received honorable mention All-Conference recognition.
Sanchez, a junior forward from Lincoln, started 17 games for the Bulldogs this season. She led Concordia with 11 goals. She was also second in assists with six on the season. She finished with 28 total points and had three game-winning goals for the Bulldogs. She ranked at or near the top of the conference in most offensive categories in 2010.
Ross, a junior midfielder from Calgary, Alberta, played in all 18 games for Concordia this season. She scored six goals in 2010 to tie for third best on the team. She added two assists for a total of 14 points and also scored one game-winning goal for the Bulldogs.
Denk, a senior defender for the Bulldogs, appeared in all 18 games for Concordia in her final season. The native of Independence, Mo., led the team with 11 assists on the year. Denk tied for first in the conference with her assist total and also scored one goal for a total of 13 points.
Concordia was 9-8-1 overall and 5-5-1 in conference play in 2010.
