Seven named as 2011 NAIA scholar-athletes
Concordia University placed seven on the 2011 women’s soccer Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list which was released on Friday. A total of 485 athletes earned the honor this year.
Courtney Cale (Sioux City, Iowa) and Kelsie Elder (Denver, Colo.) were selected from the junior class. Ariel Harris (Valley Center, Calif.), Kaela Geyer (St. Louis, Mo.), Molly Humlicek (Lincoln, Neb.), Mia Pauluhn (St. Louis, Mo.) and Kelly Ross (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) were all selected from Concordia’s 2011 senior class.
Student-athletes are nominated by their school’s head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status in order to qualify.
