Under the new direction of head coach Nick Smith, Concordia landed the fifth spot out of the 13 teams in the 2023 GPAC Women’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll as announced by the conference office on Thursday (Aug. 10).

It will be a new era for Concordia Women’s Soccer in 2023. Nick Smith will make his head coaching debut on Aug. 26 when the new campaign officially gets started inside Bulldog Stadium. All-GPAC honorees Kierstynn Garner and Grace Soenksen return.
Most recently the assistant coach at NAIA member Lourdes University, Nick P. Smith has been tabbed the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Concordia University, Nebraska. He is the eighth head coach in the history of the program.
Kierstynn Garner and Grace Soenksen garnered recognition on the primary 11-person All-Midlands women's soccer team announced on Thursday (Dec. 24) by the Omaha World-Herald. Three Bulldogs were recognized as honorable mention.
Thirteen Bulldogs represented the Concordia Women's Soccer program on the list of 2022 NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The repeat honorees include Aliyah Aldama, Allee Downing, Ellie Eason, Lina Kirst, Kadyn Lane and Lisa McClain.
There were ups and downs in 2022, but Concordia Women’s Soccer proved it could hang with anyone in the GPAC. The Bulldogs blended seniors and freshmen and put together the longest unbeaten run to begin a season in program history.
For their work in the classroom and on the playing field, seniors Allee Downing and Ellie Eason of the Concordia University Women’s Soccer program have been honored with Academic All-District Team recognition.
The spring showcased a deep and talented roster for head coach Greg Henson's squad. The Bulldogs have laid the groundwork for another successful campaign in 2016.
On paper, the 2015 season looked like somewhat of a rebuilding year for Concordia University women’s soccer following a GPAC tournament championship season in 2014. The Bulldogs had graduated a pair of first team all-conference choices and a second team all-league selection after the program had earned its first-ever national tournament bid.
Concordia University women’s soccer continues to gravitate to new heights. On Tuesday the Bulldogs jumped five spots in the national poll to No. 16, a position that again ranks as the highest placement in program history.
