Following another mid-week bye, the Bulldogs are set to return to action on Saturday when they host Mount Marty. Concordia is 24-1-5 over its last 30 GPAC regular season games.
Concordia and Dordt played to a 2-2 double overtime draw Saturday (Sept. 28) in Sioux Center, Iowa. Freshman Jaiden Beecher and Kaley Heinz supplied the goals for the Bulldogs (2-0-1 GPAC).
Concordia will attempt to push its GPAC win streak to three on Saturday when it visits Dordt for an afternoon clash. The Bulldogs have gone 24-1-4 over their last 29 GPAC regular season contests.
As Lindsey Carley put it, the Bulldogs were playing for "something a little extra" on Saturday. Concordia got a goal from Jaiden Beecher and rode it to a 1-0 victory on a day that raised awareness for Duchenne.
Concordia alums Bryant and Sarah Krieger will be on campus this weekend for Concordia's Game of Strength on Saturday. The Kriegers will be spreading awareness for Duchenne and sharing their story.
Madeline Haugen got the scoring started with a goal and Katie Miles added two more to lead Concordia to a comfortable 3-0 victory at Presentation on Saturday (Sept. 14). It was the first Bulldog win of 2019.
The Bulldogs finally got on the board with their first goal of the 2019 season. However, visiting Bellevue rallied and won, 2-1, in overtime on Wednesday (Sept. 11). Allee Downing notched Concordia's goal.
Bellevue will be the final regular season nonconference opponent on the 2019 slate. Then it will be time for GPAC play with Concordia heading to Presentation this Saturday.
Concordia still seeks that elusive first goal and that elusive first win following a 1-0 loss on Saturday (Sept. 7) to Tabor College. The Bulldogs fell despite advantages of 11-5 in shots and 6-1 in corner kicks.
Following a 2-0 home loss to Friends, the Bulldogs continue to seek answers. Concordia slipped to 0-4 with two games remaining on the nonconference slate.
On paper, the 2015 season looked like somewhat of a rebuilding year for Concordia University women’s soccer following a GPAC tournament championship season in 2014. The Bulldogs had graduated a pair of first team all-conference choices and a second team all-league selection after the program had earned its first-ever national tournament bid.
Concordia University women’s soccer continues to gravitate to new heights. On Tuesday the Bulldogs jumped five spots in the national poll to No. 16, a position that again ranks as the highest placement in program history.
