Nine Bulldogs from the GPAC regular-season championship women's soccer team picked up All-Nebraska honors, as chosen by the Omaha World-Herald and announced on Saturday (Dec. 23).
A GPAC championship season led to more honors for head coach Greg Henson and his assistants. On Wednesday (Dec. 13), the United Soccer Coaches awarded Henson and company as a regional coaching staff winner.
Maria Deeter continues to rake in postseason honors. On Friday (Dec. 8), the United Soccer Coaches named her to its NAIA/NCCAA Women's Scholar All-America Team.

Attempting to claim their third GPAC tournament title in four seasons, Concordia women's soccer was dealt a dose of heart burn in an agonizing PK shootout defeat at the hands of Hastings on Friday (Nov. 11).
The Martins are real living proof that absence does in fact make the heart grow fonder. The twin sisters reunited at Concordia and have helped maintain the women's soccer program's championship level.
In a rematch of the 2014 GPAC title game, the Concordia women's soccer program will host Hastings. The 2017 conference final is set for 7 p.m. CT on Friday (Nov. 10). The winner earns an automatic bid to nationals.
On paper, the 2015 season looked like somewhat of a rebuilding year for Concordia University women’s soccer following a GPAC tournament championship season in 2014. The Bulldogs had graduated a pair of first team all-conference choices and a second team all-league selection after the program had earned its first-ever national tournament bid.
Concordia University women’s soccer continues to gravitate to new heights. On Tuesday the Bulldogs jumped five spots in the national poll to No. 16, a position that again ranks as the highest placement in program history.
