A big swing of the right foot by Tori Cera helped propel the Bulldog women's soccer team into the GPAC semifinals. Concordia topped Morningside on Wednesday (Oct. 31) and will now play at Midland on Saturday.

The Bulldog women's soccer program will enter the GPAC tournament as the No. 3 seed and host sixth-seeded Morningside on Wednesday. Concordia is looking for its third GPAC postseason title in five seasons.

It had been more than two years since the Concordia women's soccer team had suffered a defeat in GPAC regular-season play. The streak was halted on Saturday (Oct. 27) in a 3-2 home loss to Briar Cliff.

Likely needing a win to keep hopes alive of winning a second GPAC regular-season title in a row, Bulldog women's soccer tied at Midland, 1-1. Concordia is now 8-0-3 in GPAC play heading into the regular-season finale.

With two games to go in the regular season, the Bulldog women's soccer team sits tied atop the GPAC standings with an 8-0-2 conference mark. Concordia will play Midland Wednesday and Briar Cliff Saturday.

A lead that lasted for more than 25 minutes eventually fell by the wayside and the Bulldogs settled for a 1-1 draw at Jamestown on Saturday (Oct. 20). Concordia remains in the hunt for a GPAC title.
