SEWARD, Neb. – In representing the Concordia University Women’s Tennis program, sophomore Sofia Morales and freshman Tessa Blough garnered 2022 GPAC All-Conference accolades, as announced by the league on Friday (May 13). Morales was honored for her work at No. 1 singles and also for her collaboration with Blough at No. 1 doubles this spring.

· Sofia Morales (Bogotá, Colombia): No. 1 Singles / No. 1 Doubles
o 2022 GPAC records: 6-1 singles | 5-2 doubles
Morales has established herself as one of the GPAC’s top players. She went 6-1 in GPAC singles matches this season after going 5-2 in conference singles action as a freshman in 2021. Morales owns a career overall singles record of 18-14. She’s now a two-time All-GPAC honoree for both singles and doubles and is a two-time GPAC Player of the Week in her career. Morales played a starring role for the 2021 squad that shared the GPAC regular season title.
Morales and Blough teamed up for a 5-2 conference record in doubles action this season. The two standouts were doubles partners in 11 of the team’s 17 matches in 2022. Blough also went 3-4 in GPAC singles matches.
Head Coach Cam Long’s squad finished the season at 6-11 overall (3-4 GPAC). The season ended with a loss in the quarterfinals of the GPAC tournament.
