In a final venture outside of conference play this regular season, Concordia Women's Tennis fell by a 5-2 score at Baker. Singles wins were claimed by Ansley Gates and Luisa Esquivel.
Following back-to-back GPAC wins, Concordia Women's Tennis returns to action this week with matches against Baker and Mount Marty. The Bulldogs are 5-4 overall and ranked third in the GPAC.
A key figure in last week’s win over Hastings, freshman Sofia Morales has been the GPAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week. Morales earned wins in both singles and doubles.
Just like last week, the Bulldogs responded to a deficit after doubles play and rallied for a victory. Concordia swept all six singles matches from Hastings in a 6-1 win.
It will be a quick return to conference action for Concordia Women’s Tennis, which is fresh off a 4-3 weekend victory over Morningside. The Bulldogs will host Hastings on Tuesday.
Concordia rallied back to beat Morningside by winning four of six singles matches in GPAC opening action on Saturday (March 27). The outcome came down to No. 1 singles.
In a major home test on Saturday (March 20), the Concordia Women’s Tennis team dropped all singles and doubles matches while up against NCAA Division II Emporia State.
Despite stellar play at the back end of the lineup, the Concordia Women's Tennis team came up short in a 5-2 loss to Tabor College (Kan.) on Saturday (March 13).
