For her work in a pair of nonconference matches on Sunday, Mariana Molano has been honored as the GPAC Player of the Week. Molano went 2-0 in both singles and doubles during action against Bethany and Kansas Wesleyan.

Concordia Women’s Tennis team came within an eyelash of going 2-0 on Sunday (March 12) in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference territory. The Bulldogs breezed past Kansas Wesleyan, 7-0, before a narrow 4-3 loss to Bethany.

Freshman Mariana Molano and company cruised past Sterling College (Kan.) by a 7-0 final score on Saturday (March 4). Molano did not drop a single game as the Bulldogs evened up their overall record at 4-4.

As part of a day spent in Fulton, Mo., the Bulldogs earned a 6-1 win over Tabor before falling by a 5-0 score at the hands of No. 23 William Woods. Concordia (3-4) took all but one decision in the victory over the Bluejays.

The back half of the lineup made the difference on Saturday (Feb. 18) as Concordia Women’s Tennis team took on a junior college opponent for the second-straight outing. Ella Dean starred in the 4-3 Bulldog victory.

In its first official action since October, Concordia Women's Tennis returned to the home courts of the Walz Fieldhouse on Monday (Feb. 13). It was a learning experience as visiting Barton CC swept through doubles and singles.

As part of the spring portion of the 2022-23 schedule, Concordia Women's Tennis will play 18 regular season matches, including seven against GPAC opponents. The Bulldogs concluded the 2021-22 season at 6-11 overall (3-4 GPAC).

The last opportunity of the fall presented the challenge of going up against NCAA Division II William Jewell, which emerged from Seward with a 6-0 victory. Concordia's No. 3 doubles tandem of Ella Dean Gabrielle Heiser picked up a win.

Freshman Mariana Molano made a thrilling run through the bracket as one five Bulldogs to represent Concordia at the ITA Central-West Regional Championships. Molano won four matches in singles to advance to the semis.
