2024-25 Concordia Wrestling Schedule
SEWARD, Neb. – A new era for Concordia University Wrestling will get underway this November. The program has announced its 2024-25 schedule, which will open with the Luther Hill Invite on Nov. 2. That event will mark the Bulldog debut of Head Coach Josh Watts. The slate includes eight duals and five tournaments throughout the regular season.
Watts was officially introduced as the program’s 13th head coach on July 17. The native of DeWitt, Iowa, spent the previous 13 years at the helm of the wrestling program at Iowa Western Community College. He will be joined on the staff by lead assistant coach Isaiah Crosby, a former national champion for the Reivers. The 2023-24 Concordia Wrestling team placed fifth at the GPAC tournament and sixth in the GPAC dual standings.
Following the Luther Hill Invite, Concordia will also compete in the following tournaments: Doane Open (Dec. 7), the Dakota Wesleyan Open (Nov. 9), the Grand View Open (Nov. 16) and the Hastings Open (Jan. 11). As part of this year’s dual slate, the Bulldogs will be one of the hosts for GPAC Day of Duals No. 1. Concordia will welcome Dakota Wesleyan and Morningside to Friedrich Arena on Nov. 26. Later on, Watts will take his team to Mitchell, S.D., for GPAC Day of Duals No. 2 on Feb. 8. In a standalone dual, Concordia is set to host defending GPAC champion Doane on Dec. 13.
The 2025 GPAC Wrestling Championships will be staged at Hastings on Feb. 21-22. The Broncos last staged the conference tournament in 2018. For the sixth-straight year, the NAIA Wrestling National Championships will be held at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan.
