Concordia Wrestling will welcome nine other programs to Friedrich Arena for the 2022 Bulldog Duals on Saturday. The event will feature five rounds of duals beginning at 10 a.m. CT. Concordia will take on four nonconference foes.
Nineteen Bulldogs represented Concordia Wrestling at the Doane Open and emerged with a combined 35 wins and five place finishes. Both Creighton Baughman and Issiah Burks placed in the "open" division of the tournament.
The first home appearance of the 2022-23 season for Concordia turned into a rout thanks to the help of Issiah Burks and Stephen Duffy. They dominated their matches as part of a 36-9 dual win over Bethany College.

In a GPAC event that featured eight conference duals on Tuesday (Nov. 22), Concordia went up against Dakota Wesleyan and No. 12 Morningside and came out with one win and one loss. The Bulldogs are now 3-1 in league duals.
It will be a pivotal day of conference duals on Tuesday when the Bulldogs will go up against Dakota Wesleyan and No. 12 Morningside in Sioux City. The venue for these duals will be the Long Lines Family Recreation Center.
Ten Bulldogs represented the program at the Grand View Open and emerged with 13 wins and plenty of lessons. Standouts Creighton Baughman and Issiah Burks both lost close matches while three Concordia wrestlers came away with three wins apiece.
Issiah Burks and Stephen Duffy led the way to victory as both Bulldogs claimed pins in a 36-10 team triumph over Hastings on Thursday (Nov. 10). Concordia won four contested matches and moved to 2-0 in GPAC duals this season.
The conference dual slate continues on Thursday as the Bulldogs will grapple at Hastings. Concordia hopes to build upon last week's 28-17 GPAC win over Midland while also taking part in Saturday's Grand View Open.
The 2015-16 season was another step forward for the Concordia wrestling program, which finished eighth at the national championships and again dominated the GPAC.

Junior Andrew Schulte made history on Saturday, becoming the first Bulldog ever to win a national title. As a team Concordia placed eighth at the national championships.
Without even visiting campus, Jr Lule arrived at Concordia, a place where California junior college transfers like himself have thrived. Lule now enters the national championships on a roll.
“Don’t dwell on the results. Stay focused on the process.” That’s the company line continually regurgitated by members of the Concordia wrestling program. It’s that sort of attitude that has provided a foundation for the Bulldogs’ reversal of fortunes.
In yet another dominant outing in the conference, No. 7 Concordia clinched its second-straight GPAC dual title by way of a 32-7 win over Morningside on Feb. 11, 2016.
By just about any measure, the 2014-15 season marked the most successful in the history of Concordia University wrestling. In head coach Dana Vote’s third season, the Bulldogs went a perfect 7-0 in GPAC duals, outscoring their conference rivals by a combined total of 242-59.
