A strong Friedrich Arena crowd bolstered by the presence of the Seward Wrestling Club watched fourth-ranked Doane display its dominance in a 44-0 win. The Bulldogs slipped to 8-2 overall (3-2 GPAC).
A battle between teams with a combined dual record of 21-2 will go head-to-head on Friday inside Friedrich Arena. It will be Seward Wrestling Club night as Concordia hosts fourth-ranked Doane. The Bulldogs are 8-1 overall.
Three weeks after hosting the Bulldog Duals, Concordia returned to action at the Hastings Open and totaled 11 wins among its 11 competitors. Multiple victories were earned by Jose Sanchez, Jeaven Scdoris, Grant Wells and Tommy Wentz.
Creighton Baughman (4-0), Logan Davidson (4-0), Bryce Karlin (3-0) and Kobe Lyons (3-0) each enjoyed perfect days individually as the Bulldogs went 4-0 at the Concordia Duals. Head Coach Chase Clasen's squad improved to 8-1 overall.
Concordia Wrestling will welcome nine other programs to Friedrich Arena for the 2022 Bulldog Duals on Saturday. The event will feature five rounds of duals beginning at 10 a.m. CT. Concordia will take on four nonconference foes.
Nineteen Bulldogs represented Concordia Wrestling at the Doane Open and emerged with a combined 35 wins and five place finishes. Both Creighton Baughman and Issiah Burks placed in the "open" division of the tournament.
The first home appearance of the 2022-23 season for Concordia turned into a rout thanks to the help of Issiah Burks and Stephen Duffy. They dominated their matches as part of a 36-9 dual win over Bethany College.

In a GPAC event that featured eight conference duals on Tuesday (Nov. 22), Concordia went up against Dakota Wesleyan and No. 12 Morningside and came out with one win and one loss. The Bulldogs are now 3-1 in league duals.
It will be a pivotal day of conference duals on Tuesday when the Bulldogs will go up against Dakota Wesleyan and No. 12 Morningside in Sioux City. The venue for these duals will be the Long Lines Family Recreation Center.
