Thanks to a win over the NAIA's 19th-ranked 149-pounder, junior Cameron Devers has been named the GPAC Wrestler of the Week. Devers has helped the Bulldogs to a 7-0 mark in GPAC duals.
An outright GPAC dual title and a perfect run through the conference slate will be on the line Thursday when the Bulldogs host Morningside. Concordia will also honor six seniors prior to the dual.
Ten Bulldogs combined for 14 victories while in action at the Sioux City Dave Edmonds Open on Saturday (Feb. 2). For some Concordia competitors, it marked the final matches of the 2018-19 season.
The Bulldogs won seven of 10 matches (four with bonus points) while clinching at least a share of the GPAC dual title on Thursday (Jan. 31). Concordia is now 7-0 inside the conference after a 28-10 win at Northwestern.
A dominating day at the GPAC Duals boosted the Bulldogs into first place all alone atop the conference standings. In Saturday (Jan. 26)'s action, Concordia defeated Hastings, Jamestown, Doane and Briar Cliff.
Concordia will welcome Briar Cliff, Doane, Hastings and Jamestown for a pod of the GPAC Duals on Saturday. Concordia stands at 2-0 in conference duals heading into the pivotal day for the GPAC.
While up against some of the best competition the NAIA has to offer, the Bulldogs placed 18th out of 41 teams at the Missouri Valley Invite (Jan. 18-19). Individually, Michael Stann finished sixth in the heavyweight bracket.
Eleven Bulldogs combined for 19 wins and two place finishes while in action at the Cusatis Open hosted by Hastings on Saturday (Jan. 5). Deandre Chery and Zack Moistner both recorded fourth-place finishes.
A 3-1 performance at the GPAC/CCC Duals led to freshman Michael Stann being named the GPAC Wrestler of the Week. He is the third Bulldog to win the award during the 2018-19 season.
One of eight teams to ascend on Chandler High School in Arizona, the Concordia wrestling team went 1-3 with a win over Life Pacific on Sunday (Dec. 16). Michael Stann earned three victories on the day.

Andrew Nicola, most recently an assistant coach at California Baptist University, has been hired as head wrestling coach at Concordia University. He takes the place of former head coach Dana Vote.
