One of only three Concordia wrestlers in action on Saturday (Feb. 3), Tyler Jorgensen made a splash in the 174-pound bracket at the Edmonds Open with an upset of a wrestler ranked 14th nationally.
Seniors Giovanni Castillo, Michael Duffy, Jerry Stepps III and Jared Woods each claimed wins to help Concordia earn a 21-16 team victory over Northwestern on Thursday (Feb. 1). The Bulldogs celebrated senior night in style.
A group of nine seniors will be recognized prior to Thursday's dual versus Northwestern. At 4-2 GPAC duals, the Bulldogs still have an outside shot at sharing the conference title if it can come out on top this week at home.
Jerry Stepps III highlighted the efforts of the Bulldog wrestling program on Saturday (Jan. 27) with a 4-0 day. As a team, Concordia came up one win short of running the table at the GPAC Duals in Sioux City, Iowa.
A pivotal Saturday awaits the Concordia wrestling program, which will be at Briar Cliff for four conference duals. The Bulldogs remain hopeful of keeping their streak of conference titles alive.
Four Bulldogs all came up empty in Saturday morning (Jan. 20) matches at the Missouri Valley Invite. Each of the seven Concordia representatives to compete earned at least one win.
Four Bulldogs lived to fight another day at the Missouri Valley Invite, which got underway Friday afternoon (Jan. 19) in Marshall, Mo. Chris Kimball made waves by upsetting the NAIA's third-ranked 141-pounder.
Despite a pin by Jerry Stepps III to get the night started, the Concordia wrestling program saw its GPAC dual win streak come to an end on Friday (Jan. 12). Midland topped the Bulldogs, 31-12.
The 19th-ranked Bulldogs will have an opportunity to avenge a loss last week at the National Duals when Midland visits Walz Arena on Friday for a battle set for 7 p.m. CT. Concordia is 1-0 in GPAC dual action.
Walker Fisher made the biggest waves for the 19th-ranked Concordia wrestling team during its stay at the National Duals. He went 3-0 and helped the Bulldogs end the event with a win over William Penn on Thursday (Jan. 4).

Andrew Nicola, most recently an assistant coach at California Baptist University, has been hired as head wrestling coach at Concordia University. He takes the place of former head coach Dana Vote.
