Also an NWCA Scholar All-American, Mario Ybarra has been chosen as a CoSIDA Academic All-District award winner. Ybarra earned All-America honors in 2021 and studies computer science.
Concordia Wrestling has announced a 2021-22 schedule complete with 14 competitive dates, including eight tournaments. The Bulldogs will open the season Oct. 30 at the York Open.
All-American Mario Ybarra has earned yet another Scholar All-America award from the NWCA. The Scottsbluff, Neb., native also received the honor in 2020.

Freshman Jacob Telles and junior Mario Ybarra represented the Concordia University Wrestling team on the all-conference team released on Wednesday (Feb. 24). Telles landed on the first team.
As just a freshman, heavyweight Jacob Telles has captured a GPAC title and automatic bid to nationals. He was one of five Bulldogs to place at the conference tournament.
