The Bulldogs hope to put it all together this weekend at the GPAC Wrestling Championships, which will be hosted by Midland. Concordia won the title last season at Morningside.
While in action at the Edmonds Open, three Bulldogs took home place finishes: TJ Huber (second at 174), Jeaven Scdoris (second at 149) and Jacob Telles (second at 285).
On a night used to honor the senior class, freshmen were responsible for three of Concordia's four wins. Visiting York emerged with a 28-14 win inside Friedrich Arena on Thursday (Feb. 4).
Concordia looks to finish off its regular dual season with a victory at home against York College. The program will highlight three seniors and their contributions to the Bulldogs.
In an event with major GPAC standings implications, the Bulldogs went 1-3 with a win over Jamestown at the GPAC Duals on Saturday (Jan. 30). Concordia also wrestled Briar Cliff, Doane and Hastings.
As part of the GPAC Duals at Jamestown, Concordia (2-2 GPAC) will go head-to-head with four conference opponents while wrapping up its 2020-21 GPAC dual schedule.
In its first duals since Dec. 19, Concordia took on a GPAC opponent and two nonconference foes. The Bulldogs fell at the hands of Northwestern and Dickinson State before defeating Waldorf.
In a return to dual action, Concordia will take on three opponents in Orange City, Iowa, on Saturday. The Bulldogs are coming off a solid showing last week at the Hastings Open.
Coach Levi Calhoun and the Bulldogs took to the mats for the first time in 2021 while in action at the Hastings Open. Issiah Burks and Gabe Crawford turned in place finishes for Concordia.
Junior Mario Ybarra enjoyed a 4-0 day as the wrestling program hosted the Concordia Bulldog Duals on Saturday (Dec. 19). The Bulldogs posted a team win over Oklahoma Wesleyan.
