After trailing 17-3, the Concordia wrestling team came all the way back for a 21-17 dual win at Midland on Thursday (Nov. 15). The Bulldogs won the final four matches while moving to 2-0 in GPAC action.
A challenging dual awaits on Thursday when the Concordia wrestling program will be at defending GPAC tournament champion Midland. Head coach Levi Calhoun's crew will also be at the UNK Open on Saturday.
It was another strong weekend for the likes of Deandre Chery, Michael Stann, Mario Ybarra and others representing Concordia wrestling. The Bulldogs pummeled Dakota Wesleyan, 58-0, in Friday's dual before shifting to tournament action.
The dual season will get started Friday in Mitchell, S.D., for the Concordia wrestling team. The Bulldogs will then stick around town for the Dakota Wesleyan Open on Saturday.
Deandre Chery got his season started in impressive fashion by winning the 174-pound title at Sunday (Nov. 4)'s Dan Harris Open in Baldwin City, Kan. Three of his teammates also turned in place finishes.
