Prepped at Saint Cecilia High School … coached by Ryan Ohnoutka … lettered three times and started for two years at the varsity level … served as a team captain for one year … named first team all-state by the Lincoln Journal Star and second team super-state by the Omaha World-Herald … set school record for home runs in a single season … selected to CCCC all-star and NHSCA all-star games … helped the Bluehawks to a state runner-up claim … as a junior, team broke Nebraska state records for runs scored per game (10.7), home runs in a single season (51), runs scored in a season (407) and hits in a season (402) … team went 34-5 in senior season … also competed in track & field for four years, earned three varsity letters and was named academic all-state … competed in dance for two years, helping the team reach state twice and place third in hip hop and third in pom … named academic all-state for softball and track … graduated in top 10 percent of class … delivered graduation speech.
