Prepped at Manhattan High School (Kan.) … coached by Joe Schartz … lettered all four years and started for three … served as team captain for one year … named first team all-conference and honorable mention all-state … helped the Indians to a 10-2 record and regional and sectional championships … posted a 37-5 record and a second place state finish as a wrestler.
